To help alleviate some of the suffering of the people affected by the horrendous floods ravaging the central plains and Bangkok, Pierre Andre Pelletier, GM of the Amari Watergate Bangkok, together with his management team made a generous donation of essential items including clothing, pillows, blankets and towels for the flood victims to Saisom Wongsasuluck, committee member of the Friends In Need of ‘PA’ Volunteers Foundation of the Thai Red Cross Society.

A lover of the arts and charity, Pierre Andre Pelletier GM, Amari Watergate Bangkok, organized an art exhibition at the hotel entitled ‘20 years…Roy-naam’ to raise funds to help the needy. At a ceremony held at the hotel recently, Pierre Andre together with artist Rungphan Buroochati and Nichaya Chaivisuth, the hotel’s Director of Communications & PR donated the proceeds to Chao Khun Phra Udom Prachatorn, Abbot of Wat Phrabat Nampu for further use to help the needy.

Bede Gilbert Corry (centre), Ambassador of New Zealand was guest of honour at the ‘NZI New Zealand Black & White Ball 2011’ organized by the New Zealand Society of Thailand at the Amari Watergate Bangkok recently. As usual Pierre Andre Pelletier (left), the effervescent GM of the Amari Watergate and Dermot Gale, the hotel’s executive assistant manager were on hand to ensure that the function was a roaring success. Guests included Khalid Bardan, manager Emirates Airlines for Thailand & Indochina, Liz Mortensen, president of the New Zealand Society, Nikki Cox, president of New Zealand Thai Chamber of Commerce and Grant Signal, chief technical officer NZI.
