Charity to purchase notebook computers for students in Narathiwat

Narathiwat’s Sri Sakhon district, in a push for educational development, has hosted the “Walk-Run for the Love of Children” event.

The charity initiative, aimed at bolstering the Ponoh Islamic Education Center, was a collaborative effort led by the Sri Sakhon District Private Education Office, local Tadika associations, and various government and private organizations.

The event, inaugurated by Fourth Army Region Commander Lt Gen Santi Sakuntanark, took place on January 21 at Sri Sakhon Hospital. Also present were key figures, including Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) Secretary-General Pol Lt Col Wannapong Kotcharak and prominent local leaders.



The main objective was to gather funds for purchasing notebook computers for Islamic education centers and schools within the district. It is aimed at bringing modern technology into the educational framework, with the goal of improving and enriching the learning experiences for students.

Drawing in a diverse crowd of youths and local residents, the event highlighted the community’s strong commitment to educational advancement and societal harmony. Organizers said the acquisition of these devices is expected to greatly improve the standard of education and aid in the comprehensive development of students in Narathiwat and those in the region.
