Ex-Rotary leader makes Bangkok stopover

Past Rotary International President Dong Kurn Lee and his most charming wife Young Ja made a brief stopover in Bangkok on their way back to Korea recently. The couple had spent the past few days travelling around the subcontinent including Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh to inspect many of the humanitarian projects undertaken by Rotarians in those countries. District Governors during the ‘Make Dreams Real’ (2008-09) year hosted a dinner at Jin Seng Korean Restaurant in Bangkok where a most enjoyable evening was had reminiscing events and achievements during that most eventful Rotary year. PRIP D.K.Lee, currently serving as Trustee Chair of The Rotary Foundation spoke passionately of Rotary’s on-going mission of ‘Doing Good in the World’ and “to fulfil our promise to the children of the world that we will eradicate polio from the face of the earth.” Front row (l-r) PDG Krai Tungsanga (D.3350), PRIP D.K.Lee and Young Ja.
