PSC Golf from the Ferdinand Golf Bar & Restaurant

The golfers at the newly opened Ferdinand’s Golf Bar and Restaurant embarked on their first day’s monthly competition on Friday May 1, the destination being Eastern Star Golf Club.

Colin Davis was entrusted to chauffeur the players in one of the society’s golfing mini vans but sadly Colin has not yet mastered one of the new modern driving technologies, GPS/sat-nav, or we might have arrived there on time!  When we did arrive we found the course to be in excellent condition, and bathed in glorious sunshine, so we set off to do battle.

Freddy (I think I’m great) Starbeck was the only player to record a 2, but sadly for him there was no prize for his piece of skill.  Mark Williams from Australia won the event with a very high score of 41 points, which gave him first place ahead of Mick Coghlan in second with 39 (probably good enough to win on another day), while in third was our very own Colin (the Baggie) Davis with 35 points and the last player to finish in the prizes was Barry Oats with 31.

Note: If you fancy a round of golf with Pattaya’s newest and quirkiest society, just put your name down on our daily event sheets in the bar, or call Colin on 089 826 0764.  We look forward to greeting you at Ferdinand’s Golf Bar and Restaurant very soon.
