PSC golf from The Blue Moose Sports Bar

Monday, August 13, Pattaya C.C. – Stableford

Two foursomes showed up for Monday golf at Pattaya Country Club.  The weather was good and the course was busier than normal, with Monday being a holiday for the Queen’s birthday.  The club did provide a starter so the golfers playing the 2nd nine could work into the groups just starting out.  Time of play was normal.

Herbie recovered from the initial tee shot going into the creek as he chipped in his 6th shot for 2 points.  His wedge continued to help him to 42 points to win the day.

Richard, playing with the Herbie group, came in second with 38 points.  Herbie did not make any new statements about dominating Monday golf.

Our lady golfers Oiy and Jan struggled after Gay’s party Saturday night and then an early round of Mother’s Day golf at Pattaya Country Club.

Wednesday, August 15, Burapha – Stableford

We had an abnormally low turnout at Burapha on Wednesday, which was a shame considering the condition of the course.  One of our regular golfers decided not to play after scoring 2 points on the back nine at Emerald – name withheld to protect his reputation, and no, his new driver is not up for sale!

The course was pretty open and everyone was back in less the 3 and a half hours.  Dale had a great front nine and an okay back nine to win with 38 points.  He had 8 pars, 1 birdie with 2 nasty doubles (wipes on the back nine) scoring 22 on the front side and 16 on the back.  Joe came in a distant second with 32 points.  Dale also took the closest to the pin.
