A very tough week of golf started out at the always difficult Pattavia where once again the greens were found to be at their fiercest, having been shaved down to billiard table speeds. It was therefore unsurprising that the CSS for the day moved out on this occasion to 74.

The field was split on the day at 16 and the first division was led in by Allan Hanlon whose one under handicap return was just enough to see off the late challenge of Mark Cooper.  Steve Evans then won a three-way count back for third with a best 16 points to leave Alan Pilkington in fourth with 15 and Christer Olsson in fifth with 14.

The second division was dominated by Shuichi Kodaka with a solid one-over handicap return that was enough to win by four ahead of a count-back for second place which Hal Hart won over Phil Stevenson with a better 18 to 15.  They were followed in by another count-back for fourth and fifth which Dave LeHane won with a better 16 to 15.  This left Patrick Scullion with his first podium placement of his trip.

There were no 2s in the second division but Bruce Hilde birdied the 203 yard 17th  to sweep the pot in the first division.

Another hard day was experienced by the group when they took on the two Greenwood nines that include the toughest C course and once again the CSS for the day was one above the standard par.

The first division was won by Dave Edwards, playing his last game before returning to a not so sunny England, after he had the equal best score of the week at level handicap.

Mark Cooper then won a three-way count back for second place with a better 13 to 12 over the last six to leave Mark Lang in third place.  Adrian Cook took fourth after scoring just 14 on the back nine.  That left Graham Davis to claim the last podium step another shot back in fifth.

Shuichi Kodaka.

The second division was taken by Phil Stevenson after a solid one over return to finish three in front of second placed Christer Olsson, who in turn was one ahead of third man Billy Riley.

Dave LeHane and Shuichi Kodaka rounded out the placements in fourth and fifth respectively.

Once again there were no 2s in the second division but Dave Edwards slipped one in as did Bruce Hilde again to share the first division pool.

Once again scoring was at a premium at Mountain Shadow, with the CSS for the moving out to 75 but remaining a counting competition.

The first division was won by Mark Cooper who rounded of a very successful week of golf with the equal best score of the week to win by three from Adrian Cook in second, Allan Hanlon in third and Dave Cadwallader in fourth.

The second division was claimed by Christer Olsson, taking his third podium of the week by three ahead of Billy Riley who again found that five over handicap was enough to take second place in the lower division.  Shuichi Kodaka finished third another shot behind and Dave Paul was fourth three more back.

Mark Cooper, David Dines and Bruce Hilde all shared the first division ‘2’s pot whilst Dave LeHane cleaned out the multi-rollover in the second division.
