The Kronborg golfers once again visited this fine course where the greens today were not as fast as our last visit, but you still needed a degree in physics to correctly read them.

The A Flight winner was Jan Lovgreen with the score of the day, an impressive 40 points, while the improving Henning Olsen came second with 33.  Kjeld Ravn joined the winners’ circle for the first time this visit, taking third place over Gordon Clegg on count-back.

Tore Eliassen won the B flight with a solid 35 points while Marie Baird, now getting to grips with Thai golf, came second on 33.  Torben Sorensen took the bronze on count-back over Peter Hammond.

Cafe Kronborg played at Crystal Bay on Thursday, one of our more popular courses where good scores can be made if the green-keeper is friendly with the pin placements and you hold your nerve over the water.

The course was in pretty good condition however the B course greens were still faster than C course ones, although less so than last time we played here.  Back in the clubhouse the cards showed it had not been so easy, with only one person beating their handicap and only one other matching theirs.

The A Flight winner was Richard Kubicki with a surprising 42 points, this being after he had 24 points on Tuesday and took a golf lesson Wednesday to try and sort out the issues, which he obviously did!  Peter Bygballe was second with a respectable 33.  Third place was decided on count-back with 2 players having 31 points.  Kai Aabling took the spoils with 15 points on the back and Henning Olsen lost out with only 14.

Soren Hansen Koster came on top in the B Flight with 36 points, the only other player to play to handicap.  Second and third places were decided on count-back with 2 players having 29 points; Ulla Ravn taking the silver with 18 on the back nine over Kurt Sandgaard’s 14.
