The lull before the storm

IPGC Pattaya Golf Society at Rabbi’s Elephant Bar

The prospects were not good as the Pattaya Golf Society left Soi Buakhao on Monday, 30th September to play a stableford competition at Eastern Star with Typhoon Wutip just around the corner, but the already soft course stayed dry throughout allowing the small field the opportunity of completing the round.

With the course showing its teeth on damp humid days good scores were at a premium and so the twenty-sevens of both Ray Cody and Jesper Hansen were good enough to share second place with the power of Andrew Purdie taking the day with a mere twenty-nine.

There were no birdie ‘2’s and the Booby Bevy was rested for a day or two as prospects of a full week of golf disappeared with the expected deluge a few hours later.
