Silky Oak was the destination for today’s event and the course was in great shape with superb fairways offering perfect lies for those who managed to reach them. We played only one division with 4 prize places and first past the post was Mark Rossiter, 2 shots clear of second placed Brendan Moylan. Frank Mills and Jim Magnass had to be separated by count-back, Frank edging it for the bronze.

Less than 20 golfers were prepared to take on Mountain Shadow, one of the popular courses for eager golfers at the Swan. The weather was good side and the rain held off until the last groups were finishing.
We played one division from the white markers and it seemed to suit most of the players as the scoring was sizzling.
Patrick Poussier set the scene alight with 40 points and had the rest of the players chasing their tales. Second went to a count-back with John Edwards getting the nod over Dave Maw. Buffalo Bill followed one shot further behind filling fourth place, with Jim Clay keeping out Frank Mills via the count back system to complete the podium.
