On what again looked very much like we were going to get a lot of rain we were lucky and apart for a few minutes we got around dry.

Paul Pavloff scored an excellent thirty nine points to come out the winner today.  Donal McGuigan also played very well and he came second two points behind and we then had two players locked on thirty six points, with Brian Lougheed edging the count-back over Andy Featherstone.  Joe Peters won another count-back to come fifth, keeping Kevin Blake out of the prizes.

2’s: Joe Peters, Brian Lougheed.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, Eastern Star – Stableford

11 players today and we got underway about 15 minutes early.  The course was in good conditions, but a few damp areas on fairways meant we should have played ‘lift, clean & place’ instead of “off the deck.

One person not affected by the conditions was Peter Henshaw (h/cap 24) who was a clear winner with 37 points.  In second place and way behind the winner was Ken Hole (19) with 30 points while the minor places were filled by Paul Pavloff (7) in third with 29 and Andy Featherstone (5) fourth on 28.  There were no 2’s today.
