Sunday, July 1st was not just Canada day, it was also the day the softballers united at a temporary field and played a 3 team tournament.  The Thai Polo Club field is temporarily closed, so the softballers moved to a field near the Pattaya indoor stadium and played a 3 team round robin tournament.

Teams were evenly matched with Stockton’s A Team, narrowly defeating Gil’s Sunrise Taco team 9-6 in preliminary game action.  The Sunrise Taco team went on to beat Diego’s Golf Club team 10–7 in round 2.  Third and final game saw the A Team win again by a 9-7 margin over the Golf Club.  That set up a final between Sunrise Tacos and the A Team.

MVP of the day Jonathan hits a long ball with Andy at catcher and Phil pitching. MVP of the day Jonathan hits a long ball with Andy at catcher and Phil pitching.

The final game was a blowout, with Gil’s Sunrise Taco team getting revenge on the A Team and winning by a score of 16-5.  MVP of the day was Jonathan who hit 2 homeruns and was spectacular in the outfield.  He was assisted by speedy Beck who also hit one dinger and was solid on the base paths.
