The 11 strong members landed at Chiang Mai and could not get to the green quick enough for the initial practice session. A very sociable group welcomed the players and it was game on.

The triples proved it was going to be a tough competition, with scores of 22-6, 19-6 and 11-13 to give Coco a 2-1 lead in the afternoon session. The evening singles were shared at 2-2 to give Coco a 4-3 lead but on the points system adopted by Chiang Mai the visitors had an 8-5 lead at the end of day one.

Day two pairs were all square at half way until an amazing comeback by Peter and Lita, from 12-6 down to win 21-18, gave Coco an 8-7 lead on matches but on the points system an unassailable 14-7 lead. After a super meal break the second string singles all went Chiang Mai’s way to finish the match at 14-11 for Pattaya’s Coco Club.
