Monday, April 23, Crystal Bay – Stableford

1st Mashi Kaneta (15) 38pts

2nd Peter Bailey (15) 36pts

3rd Bill Steinmann (13) 34pts

Near Pins: Bill Steinmann, Mashi Kaneta, John Coetzee, Keith Buchanan

Long Putts: Rudy Reganess, Anthony J Cook

A medium size field ventured out to take on the challenge of Crystal Bay.  Our prior information seemed to be incorrect as the course was in good condition, the only complaints that surfaced were to do with the lack of staff in the change rooms and the bar area.

With the numbers that we had we were playing one division with 3 places.  It was Mashi that took the chocolates on the day, finishing with 38points that put him 2 in front of the pack.  Second past the post was Peter Bailey, a late inclusion for the day but happy to be there.  By all reports Bill Steinmann should have been the winner but his putting let him down.

Friday, April 27, Pleasant Valley – Monthly Mug/Stroke

With only eleven golfers it was a small field that took to having a crack at April’s Monthly Mug.  It was that man Mashi again that shone thru with a very tidy score of net 69.  He is in good form at the moment.  Runner up with a net score of 73 was Keith Buchanan.  They were queuing up for third while near pins went to Gordon Clegg and JJ Harney (2) and long putt awards to Colin Stielow and Keith Buchanan.
