It was off for a round at Pleasant Valley and after a swift check-in we teed off from the tenth in overcast conditions but with a nice breeze.

The course was in good condition but was wet from the previous day’s heavy rain and it was not busy so we jetted around in just over 4 hours.

Back in the clubhouse it was more winding down of the high season with goodbyes said to Peter Hammond, Torben Sorensen and Henning Olsen.

Two flights today and Jan Lovgreen continued his fine form with a sizzling 42 points to take the A Flight ahead of Mark West in second.  Arne Max Pedersen came third on 37 and Brian Gabe trailed in fourth with 34 points.

Graham Buckingham won the B Flight on a count back from Mike Winfield, both with 37-point returns.  Torben Sorensen captured third spot 2 points further back and Dave Richardson completed the podium in fourth.

Mountain Shadow was the challenge on Thursday, up route 7 for 45 minutes and following a speedy check-in it was off the first tee 35 minutes early under clear skies and very hot conditions.  The course was in ok condition but you get the impression of a ship without a rudder.

We managed to hustle around in 3 hours and 50 minutes even though we all had a lot of putts.  Back in the clubhouse a welcome went out to Burt Lee from Canada and goodbyes to just about everyone for about a month, with the golf starting up again 25 April at Pattavia.

Two flights again today, with the cut at handicap 19 and 4 pins.

Mashi Kaneta won the A Flight with a fine 39 points ahead of Arne Max Pedersen and Elias Magnusson, both with 34s.  The resulting count back saw Arne in second and Elias having to settle for third.

Jack Robertson took out the B Flight with a even-par 36 points, while a count back on 32 points had Tom McDowell placing second and Dave Richardson third.
