2’s: Don Lehmer
On a day when there were some fine scores at Green Valley, it wasn’t going to take long to justify the ‘title guy’ this week. Don ‘the ladies man’ Lehmer was the man of the match and top in B Flight with a fantastic 44 points and also won the treble rollover 2’s pot.
Don was six shots clear of f light mate Eddy ‘the Eagle’ and a further three shots clear of Aussie star Tim Knight. Barry ‘the boot’ Copestake rounded out the flight with 33 points.
Martin Zimmerman and Peter LeNoury fought it out in A Flight, both with solid scores of 38 points, but Martin contributed a tad more on the back-nine to take the top spot.
A count-back was also required to sort out the minor places between Chaten ‘the Rajah’ Patel and Mick Beresford, the count back dictating that it was Chaten who lifted the bronze, leaving Mickey to close the flight.

Two flights were required today at Green Valley and A flight provided the co-men of the match, with Jim ‘AK-47 Bell’ returning a fine 39 points but needing the aid of a count-back over the unlucky newcomer to the society, Gentry Harrington. William Peach took the bronze and this left Dean Hutt to round out the flight with37 points.
Nick ‘Elvis’ Shaw hit all the right notes to top B Flight with a sound 38 points and was two strokes clear of Nigel Harrison. Aussie star Tim Knight lifted the flight bronze as Jorn Finnerup tidied the up the flight.
Eddy Beilby and Bill peach split the 2’s pot.
Friday, Feb. 2, The Emerald – Stableford

A slightly smaller than normal contingent of 15 players made the trip to the Emerald this Friday to take on the challenging course off the white tees.
The man of the match once again was Tony ‘the glove’ Oakes with an excellent 41 points, one stroke clear of Sel Wegner’s fine 40 points. Howard Bland and Colin Goon had to be separated by a count-back as both were log-jammed on 34 points. When the divots had settled it was Howard who took the bronze spot on the podium as Colin got to close the flight.
