The Backyard Golf Society

The Backyard lads had another interesting day’s golf at Emerald last week, Jan. 30.  First of all we had Diet Whiskey turning up late on the tee as he had left his golf kit at home.  Then we had Beaker Larsen arriving minus his wallet so he had to be bailed out by The Biss.  Finally, we had the first ever complaint from our notoriously slow mates from the Korean peninsula about slow play of the last of our groups.

On to the golf and the winner today was Kit the Altrincham Alchemist.  The near-pin was won by that that masterful exponent of the wedges, Second Hand Bob, and the skins were doled out as follows; 7 to the Altrincham Alchemist, 3 to Golden Trowel’s Boyfriend, 2 to The Biss and singles to Diet Whiskey and Beaker Larsen.

Down to the Blue Sky bar then for a few cleansing ales and then into Kisses Bar where Beaker served up another fine gumbo to the players and the staff.  The Quiet Man then announced to all that he would be going to breakfast at Tudor Court at 8:45am the next morning before Mickey The Yak told him that the Tudor Court is actually in Norwich and not the same as The Tara Court on Pratumnak Hill.
