Jomtien Football Club held a charity football tournament on December 16 to raise funds for the local Haven Children’s Home.

The event was held at the Palladium football facility off Soi Korpai and drew six teams to take part, each donating 4,000 baht to the charity cause.  The tournament had an international flavor with players from Germany, France, Holland, Russia, Italy, Myanmar and Thailand all in the mix.

The final match was a one-sided affair as C-Lion Pattaya overwhelmed Jomtien United 4-0 to claim the winners’ trophy.  Heiko Diehl and Adisak Chuapudee, a former Thailand Youth National football player, presented awards to the champions and runners-up.

All the proceeds raised for the tournament will be handed over to the Haven Children’s Home at Mabprachan Lake in East Pattaya.
