The Kronborg people went to the Navy course today to play the North and West nines.  The greens were not as fast as when we last played here but they were most welcome after the greens at Pattavia the previous week in the PSC Club Championship.

Kenneth Masden missed out on count back on second place to Takeshi in the A Flight, having to settle for third on 36 points.  Ronnie Rattee won the flight with 37 points but Gordon Clegg clobbered us all by winning the B Flight with 39 points, this following his 42 points in the PSC championship the week before.  The handicap secretary will no doubt have a lot to say when his new computer program is up and running.

The Kronborg went to Greenwood today and played the A and B nines from the yellow tees.  As always, this course was in excellent condition and with a green fee of 700 baht there were no complaints.

The weather was good but the day was overshadowed by being informed, before we left the Kronborg, that Dave Richardson ‘ The Admiral ‘ had been admitted to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital the previous day suffering from circulatory problems.  Dave has been organising golf from the Kronborg for about 20 years and although he has in recent months been taking a backroom role he still carries out a considerable amount of work for us golfers.  Get well soon Dave and we look forward to seeing you in your customary seat around the large table at Cafe Kronborg.

Arne Max Pedersen maintained his steady form and took the A Flight with 40 points, with Jan Johansen just taking the B Flight from Torben Sorensen on count back, with one point on the back-nine between them.  I know Torben is happy with second places – and he has had many this winter – as in his internal group of Danish golfers it is only the winner who has to buy the drinks!
