Students from Garden International School (GIS) students made the journey to Phuket recently for the Primary FOBISIA Games.

The students, from Years 4, 5 and 6, had trained very hard leading up to the Games and it showed in the results. Day 1 saw the GIS Titans win 69 medals in swimming and 100 in athletics. Everyone worked extremely hard in both the individual and team events.

Day 2 was the T-Ball competition and the students were focused and played very well, with the both the A team and the C team placing second. The sportsmanship and fair play shown by the pupils in T-Ball teams was something to be proud of.

The final day saw all four teams place in football. The competition was tough with some games having to go to penalties to decide which teams had a semi-final place.

The final evening saw the students enjoy their gala dinner, sharing memories of the last few days with their new friends where they showed the true meaning of the ‘Friendly Games’.

GIS is based in Ban Chang, near Pattaya.
