On Monday the 19th of May a few of the Ladies from the Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) came to watch Hand to Hand in action. We sang songs and told our names and what colour we liked and if we could hop or pat our heads. It is great to see and hear the children talking a little bit of English – the ones we have now have only been in this class for 2 weeks so are very shy but with a little bit of encouragement they will be chatting away in English soon. After the singing they had to cut out a letter D and then stick some Dinosaurs on as each week they are learning a different letter and this week it was D.

Then we presented Margie with the cheque of 164,000 baht for her staff for 1 year. We also presented money for the prisons when they take bread and water, and some money for the babies in hospital who need milk formula.

Hand to Hand is a little nursery preschool behind Duck Square near Big C on Sukhumvit Road. They organize scholarships for some children that can’t go to school unless they have a sponsor to help with uniforms, food and getting to school.

They also visit prisons and give water and bread 3 times a week.

We at PILC are so pleased we can help Margie and her team as they do such a good job.

After the class we went to see the new place that Hand o Hand hope buy in a few weeks.  It still needs a lot of work but I am sure it will be great when it’s finished.

A few weeks ago we gave them 62,000 baht from the Tiffany’s show that was held in Pattaya and it was agreed that Tiffany’s and the Classical Music group would share the profits from the show with Hand to Hand.

Let’s hope that the Holiday Bazaar on the 23rd of November will raise more money so that we can keep helping all our projects from the welfare list.
