Pattaya trained volunteers and educational personnel how to support at-risk children and keep them out of danger.

Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit opened the Jan. 5-7 seminar attended by teachers and administrators from Pattaya’s 11 public schools, Banglamung and Photisampan Pittayakarn schools, at the Gazebo Resort in South Pattaya. Also attending were 112 kids.

The objective of the workshop was to train the adults to cultivate, guide and provide advice to children in hopes they follow good examples to succeed in life.

Lecturer Akarawat Eimsamang spoke to the teachers and volunteers about being leaders who can counsel students in such a way they choose the right path in life.

The session also featured group activities to create self-awareness, self-worth and self-esteem with appropriate attitudes.

Vichien called the workshop a “good start” toward helping youths solve their problems.
