Pattaya schools 1 and 3 will see restrooms and landscaping upgraded under a city renovation project.

Deputy mayors Pattana Boonsawat and Banlue Kullavanijaya toured the two schools Dec. 19, part of their ongoing survey of all of Pattaya’s public schools. They earlier ordered upgraded playgrounds and landscaping for schools 5 and 8.

The restrooms at School No. 1 and No. 3 were found to be decrepit and in need of repairs. Engineers assessed the damage to determine budgets.

Also added to the fix-up list were sidewalks and the road outside School No. 1, which must be resurfaced and new drains installed. The deputy mayors said the domed play area they suggested for School No. 5 should be built here as well.

Repairs at School No. 3 will include a new roof.
