Children got plenty of exercise while learning about good sportsmanship at the annual sports day for Khet Udomsak’s child development centers.

Sub-district Mayor Pairoj Malakul Na Ayutthaya hosted the Feb. 29 event attended by councilors, civilians, Child Development Center leaders and parents of the children.

Khet Udomsak Secretary Somboon Chunpalee said there are 341 children in three sub-district nursery schools, including Khao Kantamat, Payub and Juksamet child development centers.

Young students take part in the opening parade.

The goal is to improve the health and growth of the children at a younger age, which is why sports day is organized each year. The objective is to improve the abilities of the young children, bond them together and encourage them to work as a team and have them exchange experiences.

There were seven activities altogether, including football penalty shots, basketball foul shots, running and collecting balls, throwing balls overhead, racing, table games and a walk-run.

Activities included basketball foul shots, and many other fun sports.
