Year 11 students from Garden International School (GIS) celebrated the end of their IGCSEs with a spectacular evening at the Hilton, Pattaya.

After finishing their final IGCSEs examinations – the world’s leading assessment for 16-year-olds – the students gathered at the Hilton for a buffet and entertainment on June 6.

IGCSE Coordinator Chris Stokes gave a welcome speech, before parents, teachers and students enjoyed the international and Thai buffet. There were performances of ‘Operation Valkyrie’ and ‘Style’ before a surprise rap duo took to the stage, in the shape of form tutors Mr Shiells and Mr Berry. These teachers have been their form tutors since Year 7.

Well done to the Year 11s!

Year 11 then all sang ‘On Our Way’ by The Royal Concept before GIS Principal Dr Stuart Tasker said thank you to the parents, teachers and students for their efforts. Some students will now be leaving GIS but many will return to take part in the school’s successful International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

GIS is based in Ban Chang, near Pattaya. Its IGCSE results are regularly above the world average. For more, visit www.garden rayong.com.
