I first met Corry in 2000/1 during my tenure as GM of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. We remained friends ever since and were in contact daily.

Born in Holland, Corry was always a larger than life character. Intelligent, charming and strong-willed she was always in charge of her own destiny. Jointly running a successful tennis business with her first husband in Amsterdam, she later took the tennis club to great heights after his death.

Corry loved to travel, she had a childish sense of fun and was always thinking of others. Music, theatre and current affairs were always of interest and we often chatted for hours about hotels, places she visited, business, Skål and politics.

Corry was a skilled bridge player which was her passion whilst living in Pattaya. Corry became a regular and enthusiastic member of the Pattaya Bridge Club with many of her Dutch friends.

In March 2015, due to ill health, Corry returned to Innsbruck in Austria, where she had previously lived for 14 years. She missed her beloved Pattaya and talked fondly of her many friends here who were in constant contact. Corry made friends easily, from all walks of life and from all over the world. She spoke fluent German, English, and Dutch and could converse in many other European languages.

Having lived with cancer for many years Corry passed peacefully on the 26 July 2016 in Innsbruck.

Goodbye my friend sleep peacefully. I am so fortunate to have known you; to be a part of your life; to have shared so many happy moments together. You will always be remembered.
