An elderly German man, allegedly wanted on a six-year-old arrest warrant, was detained when visiting Chonburi Immigration to extend his visa.
Theodor Wilhelm Jasper, 74, was wanted for fraud and defamation of others in public or advertising. No further details or explanation of the charges were revealed.
Immigration officers discovered the outstanding warrant May 31 when the German attempted to extend his visa. An additional charge of evading authorities was added.
He was transferred to the Pattaya Police to be dealt with accordingly.
