Walk & Eat Naklua underway on weekends

The 7th “Walking Street” market opened in Naklua, encouraging high-season tourists to “Walk & Eat” in a retro atmosphere.

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome took the stage in front of Government Savings Bank to kick off the weekend market Nov. 20, joined by Chonburi and city officials.

Students from Pattaya public schools then got the festivities started with stage performances.

The highlight of the evening was the performance of Dom Pakorn Lum. All the while locals and tourists shopped, ate, danced and took photos, sharing the Walk & Eat Naklua event on social media.

Let the fun begin! Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome kicks off the annual “Walk & Eat Naklua” weekends of gluttony.

Many vendors were selling locally made products, meals and fresh seafood at bargain prices.

Tourists also were able to learn about the traditional ways of the Naklua fishing village.

Parking has been provided at the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and Lan Po Public Park.

Walk & Eat Naklua runs Saturdays and Sundays from 5 p.m. through Jan. 10.

The concerts continue with Sam Na Jam Aud Na Man (Dec. 5), Aof Supanat (Dec. 12), Songkran of The Voice TV show (Dec. 19), Ja R Siam (Dec. 26), Satien Tammua (Jan. 1), Nanfah Kalasin (Jan. 2), Ratchanok (Jan. 9), and Ying Lee Srijumpol (Jan. 10.)
