PATTAYA, Thailand – A 65-year-old British tourist was seriously injured early Friday morning after being attacked by four transgender suspects in a South Pattaya condominium, police said. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on September 20 at a 20th-floor unit on Pattaya South Road, prompting an immediate response from local police and rescue teams.

Authorities found the victim with multiple deep lacerations to his head, blood covering his face. Rescue personnel provided first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to the victim, he had requested the company of two women for companionship. When four transgender individuals arrived instead, he refused their service. A dispute erupted when the suspects demanded 40,000 baht—10,000 baht per person. The group allegedly attacked him with knives after he refused to pay. He managed to escape to the building’s security office, while the suspects fled before police arrived.

Lt. Col. Manasak Pholyeam, deputy investigator at Pattaya City Police Station, said the victim will be questioned further once his condition stabilizes. Investigators are reviewing security footage and examining the crime scene to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Authorities warned that all four perpetrators are considered armed and dangerous, and a manhunt is ongoing to bring them to justice.
