National police chief Pol. Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda visited his troops in Pattaya to boost morale before Songkran.
Chakthip arrived from Bangkok via helicopter at the Banglamung School field and motored to the Facilitation Unit for Tourists on Pattaya Beach at the beginning of Soi 13/1 and Bali Hai Pier.
He gave officers on duty water and energy drinks and encouraged them to help tourists as much as possible.
He said top police and government officials were most concerned about keeping Pattaya clean during Songkran as well as ensuring businesses and public officials don’t take advantage of tourists.
