PATTAYA, Thailand – Authorities are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found washed ashore on Pattaya Beach late Sunday morning. The victim, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, was discovered face down on the sand opposite Soi 13, wearing a black T-shirt with foreign lettering and denim shorts.
A preliminary examination revealed abrasions on his right eyelid and cheekbone, with blood visible around the nose and mouth, as well as foam at the mouth. A mobile phone was found in his possession and has been taken into police custody as evidence.
According to Pattaya’s Marine Disaster Prevention Division, a speedboat operator had reported seeing a body floating offshore earlier that morning, not far from the beach. A search was launched, and shortly afterward, the body was found washed ashore.
Police have sent the body for a full autopsy at Pattaya Patthamakhun Hospital to determine the exact cause of death. While initial assumptions point to drowning, authorities are awaiting medical confirmation and are working to verify the man’s identity.
