A day after Sattahip residents complained about homeless people taking over bus stops near schools, local authorities swept them away.

District Chief Anucha Intasorn called on the Chonburi Social Development and Human Security Department to immediately round up vagrants occupying covered stops at the Chonburi College of Agriculture and Technology and Kled Kaew School.

Workers moved out the homeless and cleaned the stops to be used as school resumes at the two facilities.

No mention was made whether authorities actually took the down-and-out vagrants to shelters or just moved the problem elsewhere.
