Pattaya Police showed off its commando unit’s skill in a public-relations demonstration aimed at getting the community more involved in the battle against drugs.
Crime suppression chief Pol. Lt. Col. Saranpong Maithongkulthorn led the July 27 demonstration at an abandoned building on Soi Aksorn Pattaya Technological College in the Thepprasit Community.
Area residents and volunteers listed to police speak about their policies and intention to get people more involved in helping police by providing information and tips about drug problems in their area.
Police also explained their methods in solving crime and narcotics problems and providing information to the public.
The event concluded with a demonstration by police commandos in storming the house and capturing a terrorism suspect.
