PATTAYA, Thailand — Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet welcomed Joanne Finnamore-Crorkin, Consul at the British Embassy Bangkok, for an official visit to Pattaya City Hall on October 29, reinforcing cooperation on tourist safety and international relations.

The meeting, attended by city officials, served to introduce the Consul and discuss ways to strengthen coordination between Pattaya and the British Embassy, particularly in ensuring the safety and convenience of British tourists visiting the city.



Joanne Finnamore-Crorkin, who has served as British Consul in Thailand since October 2022, oversees consular and welfare services for British nationals throughout the country. She explained that her office focuses on assisting British citizens in need and providing essential documentation and advisory services.

Mayor Poramet reaffirmed Pattaya’s commitment to tourist security, highlighting that the city operates an extensive 24-hour CCTV surveillance system to enhance public safety and maintain confidence among visitors. He emphasized that Pattaya strives to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for both residents and international guests.

The discussion also addressed broader opportunities for bilateral cooperation in tourism, culture, and economic development, underscoring Pattaya’s growing role as a global city that values its international partnerships.
