PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is set to enjoy pleasantly cool and breezy mornings as northern and northeastern Thailand experience a drop in temperatures, according to the Meteorological Department. The seasonal cool air has begun spreading southward from high-pressure systems over China, bringing refreshing weather to parts of the country, including the eastern seaboard.
While heavy rain is expected in southern provinces such as Phatthalung, Songkhla, and Pattani, Pattaya and the rest of Chonburi province are forecast to remain mostly dry, with light winds and comfortable temperatures ideal for outdoor activities. Bangkok and surrounding areas are expected to see only isolated thunderstorms, with daytime highs around 34–35°C and cooler mornings at 25–26°C.
The Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand will have waves of around 1 meter, rising above 2 meters in areas of thunderstorms, so small boats are advised to exercise caution. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm “Fengchen” in the northern South China Sea is not expected to affect Thailand but will approach southern Hainan Island and central Vietnam in the coming days.
Visitors to Pattaya can look forward to enjoyable weather, especially in the early mornings, perfect for beach walks, sightseeing, and outdoor dining as the city transitions into the cooler season.
