PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya municipal enforcement officers have taken action against vehicles parked on pavements along Pattaya Second Road, issuing arrest records and referring offenders for fines in an effort to restore pedestrian space and improve safety. A white van was seen climbing onto the footpath, occupying space intended for pedestrians and highlighting the problem of vehicles using pavements as parking areas.

The operation targeted vehicles obstructing walkways, forcing pedestrians to navigate around parked cars and reducing the space available for people walking along the busy road. Officials issued arrest records and directed offenders to pay fines at Pattaya City’s municipal enforcement center. The action aims to ensure motorists comply with parking regulations and keep pavements clear for residents and visitors.

Pavement obstructions can create particular difficulties for people with disabilities, older residents, families with children and tourists exploring the city on foot. Pattaya’s enforcement drive seeks to restore pedestrian access and make walking along busy streets safer and more convenient.
