Mayor Poramet Ngampichet confirms Pattaya’s 2026 Songkran schedule, highlighting Wan Lai Naklua on April 18 and Wan Lai Pattaya on April 19, alongside beachside cultural and entertainment events.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya has confirmed its full schedule for the 2026 Songkran festivities, maintaining traditional activities alongside large-scale cultural and entertainment events across the city.

Mayor Poramet Ngampichet said the city will continue its core Songkran traditions, with “Wan Lai Naklua” set for April 18 at Lan Pho Naklua and Naklua Public Park, followed by “Wan Lai Pattaya” on April 19 at Wat Chai Mongkol Royal Monastery.

Both events will feature traditional highlights including parade processions, Buddha water pouring ceremonies, elder blessing rituals, and cultural performances that reflect the local identity.

In parallel, from April 17–19, Pattaya Beach will host large-scale entertainment activities organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in cooperation with the private sector. The program will include concerts by leading Thai artists, cultural showcases, traditional games, and sand pagoda building activities.

City officials said Pattaya will provide venue support for the events without using the city’s budget, with expectations that the celebrations will help stimulate local spending and tourism revenue during the holiday period.

Authorities have also urged both residents and tourists to celebrate responsibly, follow regulations, avoid high-pressure water guns, and manage spending carefully amid elevated energy costs.

After the Wan Lai events, traditional “Kong Khao” merit-making ceremonies will continue in the Nong Yai and Naklua areas, preserving long-standing local Songkran customs.
