A Nigerian man and his girlfriend were arrested for allegedly possessing 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Mathias Ukwuani Ogochukwu, 34, and Samorn Sutakaew, 31, were apprehended July 7 after police on patrol on Thepprasit Soi 5 spotted the Thai woman toss a bag of what appeared to be peanut snacks out the window of their Toyota Altis before driving away.
The bag contained ya ice, police said. They were stopped and handcuffed at the Thepprasit-Thappraya intersection.
The two, who had their year-old daughter with them, claimed they had nothing to do with the drugs, but police were not buying their story and booked them for possession of a Class 1 narcotic.
