224 naval forces from 8 Air and Coastal Defense Command units have departed to conduct special tasks in the South and East regions.

Monks blessed 224 sailors before their departure for new assignments in Thailand’s eastern border and south.

Rear Adm. Wara Tankham presented flower garlands and cash stipends to Air and Coastal Defense Command troops from the Koh Kood operational unit, Surface Search Radar unit and six other battalions, who were dispatched to Songkhla, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Five monks blessed the departing sailors with holy water and changed the “Bahum”, the “Stanzas of Victory” and presented them with amulets.

Wara emphasized that all naval forces should perform at full capacity, be careful and obey their commanders’ orders.
