Nearly 2,000 new marines were minted as training wrapped up in Sattahip.

The 1,945 recruits began boot camp July 3 and received trophies Sept. 3 to acknowledge their accomplishments at Marine Corps headquarters.

Vice Adm. Thanakan Kraikruan said it is important that navy members are at their best and ready to serve and protect the country at all costs.

The new marines might be at the beginner level, but they all proved that they have the advanced skills and the mentality of experienced troops.

The Marine Corps announced that all the conscripts have done well and have made the country proud of their sacrifices and hard training.
