An Udon Thani transvestite was arrested for allegedly stealing a gold necklace from an Indian tourist in Pattaya.
Police were watching ladyboys near a Bangkok Bank branch on Beach Road Sept. 9 when they spotted a group of three transgenders approach and hug tourist Srikanth Jayprakash, 31.
Officers said they saw Jakree Sawatnathee, 25, take the Indian’s necklace without him noticing. Officers pounced and nabbed Jakree with the chain valued at 13,000 baht.
The suspect had been arrested several times for stealing from tourists.
