Immigration officials given fire-evacuation training

Chonburi Immigration Office officials learned how to securely evacuate detainees and treat the injured in case of fire at their Jomtien Beach headquarters.

The Aug. 1 training session, administered by the Pattaya fire department and Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, demonstrated the transfer of injured Immigration Police suspects into temporary detention cells, aid to the injured and preservation of important documents.

Workers also received fire-prevention tips and learned basic fire-fighting techniques using extinguishers.
