HM the King honored on National Tree Day

To commemorate National Tree Day, Capt. Sarawuth Chawana, Commander of the 2nd Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment, Air and Coastal Defense Command led his troops in planting 40 Yellow Star trees, the official tree of His Majesty King Rama X on the grounds of the military command.

Capt. Sarawuth said the tree planting exercise served 3 purposes. One, to create awareness and understand the balance of nature so as to maintain our forest resources for sustainable use in the future. Two, to raise awareness and promote participation among naval forces in the conservation of forest resources. And three, most important of all to honor and pledge loyalty to HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, King Rama X.
