
PATTAYA, Thailand – The HHN Foundation for Thai Children organized a special ceremony to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on the occasion of her 93rd birthday, celebrated nationally as Mother’s Day. The event took place at the Child Protection and Development Center (CPDC) in Pattaya.
The ceremony was presided over by Ratchada Chomjinda, Director of the HHN Foundation, and Siromet Akrapongpanich, Director of the center. Foundation staff, administrators, teachers, and children participated in the event.
The program began with opening floral tributes and paying respects in front of the Queen Mother’s portrait. Speeches were delivered praising Her Majesty and offering blessings for her long life and well-being.
Young female representatives performed graceful traditional dances to honor the Queen Mother, followed by “Kung Nang,” a child representative, reciting a heartfelt poem celebrating mothers.

Children from the ASEAN Learning Center then participated in a ceremonial “wai” to show respect and gratitude to their mothers and teachers, highlighting the importance of family bonds and filial piety.
The event also included awards for children from the ASEAN Learning Center who participated in various Mother’s Day competitions, encouraging creativity and expressing love and respect for mothers.
Ratchada Chomjinda addressed the attendees, giving encouragement and inspiration to staff and children alike, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and guiding young people with dedication.

After the formal ceremony, children, mothers, and teachers took group photos to commemorate the special occasion. The day concluded with a volunteer activity dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and participants shared a warm communal lunch together.
The event highlighted the HHN Foundation’s commitment to fostering love, gratitude, and respect for family values among Thai children while honoring the Queen Mother on her special day.
