A drunken dispute between two foreign friends in Jomtien escalated into a street fight, leaving one British man critically injured while police search for the other.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Two foreign men, reportedly close friends, engaged in a street fight in Jomtien, Pattaya, after an argument escalated while they were intoxicated on the night of September 10.

Police from Pattaya City Station responded to reports of a brawl outside a restaurant on Jomtien Road. At the scene, 32-year-old British national was found injured with a torn left ear and multiple bruises across his body. Rescue volunteers provided first aid before transporting him to Bangkok-Jomtien Hospital.

Witnesses said the two men had been drinking at a nearby beer bar. The altercation began over whether to return to their accommodation or continue partying, compounded by an ATM withdrawal issue. What started as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight in full view of bystanders.

Police secured evidence and plan to question the injured man once he recovers. Authorities are now seeking the other man, who fled the scene, to pursue legal action.
