PATTAYA, Thailand – A Thai woman married to a foreign husband for around 25 years says she is facing serious strain in her relationship after repeated trips to Thailand and growing emotional distance at home. She shared her story on online forums, believing it may be useful for other Thai wives facing similar situations.

She claims her husband, who frequently visits Pattaya, has become increasingly attached to someone he met during his stays in Thailand, reportedly spending more time on private phone calls and expressing a strong desire to return more frequently.

According to her account, she has also noticed regular financial transfers linked to Thailand, which has deepened her concerns about the nature of the relationship. The couple had once planned to retire and purchase a condominium in Pattaya, but she now says those plans are uncertain.

She also alleges that her husband has requested more personal space and expressed a wish to travel alone in the future, further increasing tension in the marriage.

She says she is now gathering evidence and may pursue legal action, as she believes a massage worker in Thailand is involved in the breakdown of her marriage. At the same time, she emphasizes that she is proceeding carefully and wants to fully understand the situation before making any final decisions.

The situation highlights the challenges that can arise in long-distance and cross-cultural marriages, where emotional distance, lifestyle changes, and time spent abroad can sometimes create misunderstandings and strain relationships.

For now, she says she is taking things step by step as she weighs her options and focuses on protecting her family’s future.
