Malinee Phetchakul, 47, said she was happy to help the navy in its relief effort after the military rescued her from a flooded home in Pathum Thani where electricity was cut and food was scarce.

The beauty queen, who has been active in fund-raising throughout Sattahip District, said helping each other in time of need is a Thai tradition and that she would continue to help those affected by the flood crisis.
