PATTAYA, Thailand – A small but meaningful act of service by local authorities recently won praise from the public, after officials helped a resident recover a set of keys that had accidentally fallen into a storm drain on Soi Buakhao.
The incident occurred approximately 100 meters past Tree Town Market, heading toward South Pattaya. The resident contacted local authorities for assistance, prompting a swift response from the Pattaya City Public Works Department.
Sanitation engineers were dispatched to the scene and managed to retrieve the keys successfully, showcasing the city’s attention to detail and willingness to help even in seemingly minor situations.
Social media users applauded the quick response. One commenter wrote, “They pay attention to every detail. Thank you to all the officials involved.” Others noted that while the task seemed simple, the willingness of the officials to help reflects well on the city’s service standards.
Some users also shared do-it-yourself tips, suggesting that in similar situations, a magnet attached to a stick can be an effective retrieval tool. Still, the appreciation remained high for the professionalism and readiness shown by Pattaya’s public service team.
The Public Works Department confirmed the operation was handled promptly and efficiently, reminding residents that support is always available for those in need.
