Chonburi Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit presided over the March 2 opening of a drug rehabilitation camp, part of the government’s three-month program to drastically reduce drug use in the province.
Overseen by the Chonburi Probation Office, the clinic held at the Training and Development of Public Health in Chonburi was required for drug offenders otherwise locked away on simple possession charges. The hope was to treat the drug user’s addictions and develop their life skills to avoid relapses.
