PATTAYA, Thailand – Visitors to Pattaya beaches are braving cool breezes and stronger-than-usual winds as the Meteorological Department reports a cold front sweeping across the upper Gulf of Thailand. Early mornings are particularly chilly, prompting authorities to advise extra caution for beachgoers and tourists heading out to sea.

The department warns that waves in the Gulf of Thailand near Pattaya are rising to 2–3 meters, with higher swells in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Small boats are strongly advised to remain in port, and passengers are urged to wear life jackets if traveling by ferry or speedboat.

Despite the weather, tourists continue to enjoy sunbathing and seaside activities at Pattaya and Wong Amat beaches, though local officials are stepping up monitoring to ensure safety amid the gusty conditions.

Pattaya 24-hour forecast highlights:
Morning temperatures: 20–23°C
Daytime highs: 28–30°C
Northeast winds: 10–25 km/h
Sea waves: 2–3 meters, higher in stormy areas

Authorities urge visitors and residents to take precautions against the cold and strong winds, and for small boat operators to avoid going out in rough conditions.
