PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather update warning of noticeably cooler conditions across Thailand, with Pattaya and the Eastern Region feeling the drop. Morning temperatures in Pattaya are expected to fall to 22–23°C, accompanied by strong winds throughout the day.

Central Thailand, including Bangkok and its vicinity, will also see a cool spell, while the North and Northeast turn cold to very cold. Residents — especially young children, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions — are advised to take extra care of their health during this period of chilly and windy weather.

Farmers in the region are urged to protect crops from potential cold damage. In parts of the Northeast, dry and windy conditions may increase the risk of fires.

Meanwhile, the South continues to face heavy to very heavy rainfall due to a strong northeast monsoon combined with a low-pressure system over the lower South. Accumulated rain may lead to flash floods and runoff, especially in foothill areas and near waterways.

Marine warning:

Waves of 2–3 meters are expected in the Gulf of Thailand and the upper Andaman Sea, with heights exceeding 3 meters in stormy areas. Operators of small boats in the Gulf are advised to stay ashore, while all vessels should navigate with extreme caution and avoid thunderstorms.
